About Anson Insurance Services, Inc
Anson Insurance was started in the 1960s in Spencer, NE by Kenneth Brion. In 1979, Steve Anson joined Ken in the Spencer office in 1979. In 1984, they opened an office in O’Neill and officially became Brion-Anson Insurance. In 1993, Steve and his wife, Patricia, purchased the other half of the business from Ken and it became Anson Insurance Services, Inc.
From a two employee business, Anson Insurance has now grown to 8 employees and services Nebraska and South Dakota. Anson Insurance has a long history of exceptional customer service and offering competitive prices. As an independent agency, we have many different companies to choose from to find the best fit for you.

The owner, Steve Anson started Anson Insurance Services, Inc in 1978, formerly Brion-Anson Insurance Services. Steve and Patricia have lived in O’Neill for the past forty years and are active members in the community. Steve is licensed in all lines of insurance and Pat now focuses on serving her church and the community. Steve and Pat have three daughters: Julie, Katie and Molly and six grandchildren. In Steve’s spare time he enjoys spending time with family and taking care of his cattle. Pat spends her time serving her church and spending time with friends and family.

Jess Ethington has been with Anson Insurance for over 25 years and is licensed in crop and hail insurance. Jess and his wife, Natalie, have two adult children. In his spare time, Jess likes to take care of his cattle and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Mary Reiser has worked at Anson Insurance for over 20 years. She is an accountant and is a licensed agent in property, casualty, life and health. Mary and her husband, Mike, have three children. Mary enjoys spending time attending sporting events for her children and doing anything outdoors with her family and friends.

Molly Anson started working summers at Anson Insurance in 2013 while attending college and started full time in 2016. Molly is an administrative assistant and receptionist in the office. In her spare time, Molly enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews and friends.

Nathan Hoffman started at Anson Insurance in 2021 and is licensed in all lines of insurance. He and his Emma, have two children. In his spare time, Nathan enjoys spending time with family and coaching football for the Boyd County Spartans.

Schell Fritz started working at Anson Insurance in 2021 and is licensed in property and casualty insurance. Schell and his wife, Ann, have three sons who he enjoys spending time with as well as working on projects around the house.

Jeff Winings started at Anson Insurance in 2024 after selling his feed business he ran with his father for 27 years. Jeff and his wife Chrissy have two sons. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys spending time with friends and family and working on his pulling truck.
